sacred skin. Never that, burn a letter,
see it free,

and let it go, but don’t chase after your
body for the sins of others, for the faces
we make,

and the pieces of your soul we take. 
Touch you body for the pleasure of being 
alive,

don’t scratch at the sentences written 
upon your face, don’t taint them with the

red, instead smudge those who wish to

see you erased.
